Re: spikes in MUSE data when preprocessed in EEGLAB
Filtered out elements in csv results now in an error message (it basically doesn't like it when the csv is edited and saved prior to importing into EEGLAB)

Re: spikes in MUSE data when preprocessed in EEGLAB
thanks for the help. I guess data analysis of raw data best conducted in EEGLAB rather than relying on output for analysis direct from the csv files into say SPSS (or even just in excel)

Re: spikes in MUSE data when preprocessed in EEGLAB
Thanks. One other related question: to what degree are the csv data already artefact filtered for the non-raw data (columns B to U) and in this output format would it be meaningful to analyse these data and establish means (eg. mean alpha for TP9 for one condition versus another experimental conditi...

Re: spikes in MUSE data when preprocessed in EEGLAB
ok I found this thanks - there are minimal so I would not have noticed many blank lines in the dataset (approximately 8 per 46000 rows of data). Will filter these out in each file BEFORE importing into EEGLAB and see if this resolves the spiky issue (will report back)!

Re: spikes in MUSE data when preprocessed in EEGLAB
not sure what you mean. I imported csv direct into EEGLAB, removed epoch baseline, filtered at 1hz and then 40hz then plotted the channel data and visually inspected/removed artefacts (two passes through the data to reject artefacts) that appeared to be blinks etc) - this on the advice of a colleagu...

spikes in MUSE data when preprocessed in EEGLAB
I am getting very 'spiky' output spectra plots in EEGLAB when attempting to analyse MUSE data in EEGLAB (see plot attached) https://mind-monitor.com/forums/download/file.php?mode=view&id=148 This is after going through a preprocessing pipeline in EEGLAB, filtering, removing artefacts visually et...

Re: Bad AF7 sensor on Muse S headband (?)
I've also had numerous problems with AF7 blinking on and off continuously. Interaxon asked me to send various screenshots of the calibration in the MUSE app which tbh doesn't indicate any problem - it's in Mind-Monitor that the sensitivity to it coming and going is revealed. Having looked at the dat...

Re: Will the muse s get support?
I recently acquired the Muse S, for express purposes of using to collect data for research before finding out it's incompatible with Muse Direct etc. They have offered to refund the difference and send me a Muse2 instead but I am wondering is it worthwhile holding onto the 'S' or do people think the...
