eye blink errors (URGENT!!!)

Dear team,

I find there is some problem about eye blink recording.

I did a self test to check the number of eye blinking number, I made no eye blinking but it shows I had 13 eye blinking within 20 seconds. That is not normal.

Here is the screenshot of the recording data it had in the attachment, please take a look!

Since I am doing a research project now using the MUSE monitor, so it is a bit urgent!

Below is the RAW EEG view of your data file.
You can clearly see that AF7 (Purple line) isn't connected properly.

When you're using Muse Monitor, switch to the RAW EEG view to check you have a good connection. When you have a thin crisp line with little variation, then you have the best signal. You will still see big clear spikes when you blink, but the rest of the time you should only have tiny variations in the RAW EEG.

But I just checked HSI value for all AF7 is 1 which means it has good connect, and all other data except the one I sent you had the same eye blinking issues. The screenshot I sent you before is the self-test I did, all connections were good and I made no eye blinking. But as a result it shows I have 13 eye blinks.

I am a little bit worried since I planned to use the number of eye blinks as one measurement in my research project. The research aim is to detect how occupants' memory and attention can be improved when working with indoor plants (by measuring relative brain wave power bands through MUSE sensor). Here is the graph I made based on the instruction from "graphing with excel" in MUSE Monitor website (the raw data is the excel file I sent you).

1. If the graph looks reasonable and readable?
2. Since all are absolute band power, how to convert them to relative band power?
3. How to reduce the time interval as to better identify EPR component?
4. Do you have any suggestions for the data analysis in terms of the aim of my research project? Since I don't have much ideas about how to use these data to support my project

The HSI is automatically generated by Interaxon. It's not perfect, just a general indicator. Use RAW EEG for the best indicator, as per my instructions.

Relative for Alpha is for example: alpha_relative = (10^alpha_absolute / (10^alpha_absolute + 10^beta_absolute + 10^delta_absolute + 10^gamma_absolute + 10^theta_absolute))

In settings you can change the recording interval to Constant to get the most data.

I can't help with analysis on that level, sorry! I'm just a programmer

If I want to calculate the energy value of alpha band power (as indicated in the graph), is it calculated as follows:
E(alpha) = sum (Power Spectral Density over alpha frequency) = sum (10^alpha_absolute),

And the unit for energy value is Hz? If it is not, how to convert it to Hz?

Hz is the units of frequency not energy. Energy is traditionally in Joules... But I don't think you can convert from PSD to J.
