Is Bluethooth LE bandwith critical?

Post by Peter Gamma »

You mentioned problems with bandwith over bluetooth somewhere. When I use Muse 2 with the Mind Monitor and use another android application for a BLE heart rate sensor, to you recommend a second android device, or is one enough?

I wouldn't recommend connecting any other Bluetooth devices when you are using the Muse. For example, I have seen issues on some phones when using Bluetooth headphones. It depends on device, so it might be fine for you. It's easy to test, just set the recording interval to constant and then when you upload your recording to the online charts it will tell you if there is missing data. You may also see "NaN" flash up as a value on the raw eeg view if there is data loss. If you don't see NaN data then you are fine.
