Calculating asymmetry index, reactivity using Alpha power

Hi, in order to calculate asymmetry index I have to figure out which alpha value (as per timestamp) needs to be used e.g. mean or something else if i have 1 hr eeg data.

as we get alpha values for both frontal electrodes on continuous basis, if I select a window and use the mean value of alpha within that window; will it be right approach to find asymmetric index. bit confused as this is the first time i'm dealing with eeg data for my research project. also referring literature but not finding proper clue..

I wanted to perform some calculations e.g. asymmetry index, reactivity, etc..on recorded data. Please guide me..

Sorry, I've not heard of an asymmetry index, so I'm not sure how to calculate that. You could try asking on the Interaxon forums: http://forum.choosemuse.com/
