Help with Calculating α/β Values from Exported CSV

Hi James,

I am a university student and I have a question regarding the calculation of α/β values from the CSV file exported using the Mind Monitor app. I apologize if there are any mistakes in my message as I am translating it.

Specifically, I'm trying to compute a single α/β value, not per electrode but as a combined value for all electrodes. Should I:

Calculate the α/β value for each individual channel and then take the average of these values?
or
Sum the α values of all channels, sum the β values of all channels, and then compute the α/β value using these summed values?
Your guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you average before or after the math will work out the same.
